Fabric & Leather Proof - Waterproofing Steps
- CLEAN
- Remove laces if desired.
- Rinse the outside surface of footwear to dampen and remove any loose dirt.
- The surface of footwear must first be cleaned with Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel.
- Shake Footwear Cleaning Gel well, press down on red pin in scrub applicator to break seal, then use scrub applicator to apply generously to outside surface of footwear while scrubbing.

Be sure to apply enough pressure to see soap suds on the surface.

Shake Fabric & Leather Proof well, then spray on evenly while shoes are still wet.

- Remove any surplus with a cloth, then let dry.

Fabric & Leather Proof adds water repellency and revives breathability without softening leather. It is recommended for use on Gore-Tex, eVent, BDRY, and all other waterproof combination footwear.
Nikwax products are PFAS-free, water-based, non-persistent, and contain no optical brighteners or added scent. All items must first be cleaned with Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel before waterproofing, as household cleaners leave behind water-attracting residues.
